SCHOHARIE COUNTY, NY (June 9, 2025) – There's no shortage of community programs this summer at 287 Main, the home of the Schoharie Economic Enterprise Corporation (SEEC). Located in the heart of the Village of Schoharie, 287 Main is a dynamic space that blends coworking, special event rentals, and a rotating local art gallery, all while providing valuable business resources to the community.

Throughout the season, 287 Main will host a diverse lineup of art exhibits, wellness activities, and professional development programs designed to inspire and engage residents and visitors alike.

Now on view, EDGE + OVERLAP by Kristen DeFontes showcases abstract works inspired by rural life, combining natural and industrial materials to explore themes of emotional balance and landscape. Come see it before it's gone!

Mark your calendar for the next gallery reception on Friday, July 11, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, featuring new works by Amy Silberkleit and George Dirolf. From intricate lithographs and nature-inspired drawings to bold woodcuts and plein-air paintings, this exhibit brings the Catskills and beyond into vivid focus. Meet the artists, enjoy refreshments, and connect with Schoharie County’s creative community.

The 287 Main Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Private weekend showings are available with advance notice via email admin@seecny.org.

Wellness Workshops with Soul Gaze Studios
287 Main welcomes Lucianna of Soul Gaze Studios for weekly yoga workshops open to all levels. Join Flow Yoga on Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:30 PM and Yin Yoga on Sundays from 5:00 to 6:00 PM. Learn more at soulgazestudios.com.

Schoharie County Resilience & Thriving Workshop
On Monday, June 16, Team Awareness NY will present an evidence-based resilience training led by Dr. Joel Bennett, CEO of Organizational Wellness & Learning Systems (OWLS). Two sessions will be offered, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Participants will gain tools to build personal resilience, improve workplace wellness, and thrive in their careers. UAlbany Summer Tech Roadshow
On Wednesday, July 23rd, SEEC will host the UAlbany Summer Tech Roadshow, showcasing cutting-edge technologies. The goal is to connect university researchers with local government and industry leaders. SEEC Digital Power Hour: Canva 101 On August 11th  at 10:00 AM, join Paul Fahey of Primeau Fahey & Associates for Canva 101, for a beginner-friendly hybrid session designed to teach attendees the basics of using Canva.  A free-to-use online graphic design tool, Canva creates professional, eye-catching designs using templates, fonts, and brand elements. The session will also cover tips for customizing graphics, optimizing layouts, and making the most of Canva’s tools for marketing and social media content. Don’t miss this opportunity to boost your design skills and enhance your business’s digital presence.

SEEC is exploring a tech-enabled future for Schoharie County prosperity. The full recording of keynote speaker Molly Pyle, Director of Tech-Based Economic Development from the Center on Rural Innovation, is now available on YouTube at @schoharieeconomicenterprise. Molly joined 287 Main coworkers in discussion of how to recognize local talent and strategies to attract more into desirable Schoharie County communities.
