SEEC was established in 2019 as a not-for-profit public benefit corporation meant to foster economic prosperity in Schoharie County. The Spirit of SEEC is realized through Main Street vitality, powering a Digital Revolution and encouraging industrial diversity.
SEEC supports local enterprises in building their businesses by providing guidance, resources, and navigation to foster sustainable growth within our community.

Current Opportunities
Village of Sharon Springs Small Project Fund - $70,000
Sharon Springs was awarded $2.25 million as a NY Forward initiative. Designed to support small-scale projects that improve the downtown, SEEC is administering the $300,000 Small Project Fund. Starting in July, SEEC will schedule FREE architectural consultations for eligible property owners. Funding is limited, and awards will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Date: Round 3 - Opened May 1
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until the full $70,000 fund has been fully awarded..

Featuring Works by Linda Suskind-Kosmer and John Kosmer
SEEC Art Gallery, in partnership with Schoharie County Arts, is pleased to announce Ceramic Tales, an exhibition exploring emotion, narrative, and playful commentary through the medium of ceramics and mixed media.
The exhibition brings together the distinctive visions of Fly Creek-based artists Linda Suskind-Kosmer and John Kosmer:
Linda Suskind-Kosmer presents evocative sculptures and mixed-media paintings rooted in dream imagery, memory, and the natural world. Her textured clay figures inhabit intricate emotional landscapes, existing as compelling bundles of contradiction that resonate far beyond the single form.
John Kosmer brings theatrical whimsy with his acclaimed “Mug Shot” series—3D, face-adorned ceramic vessels staged in narrative tableau vignettes that gently satirize cultural tropes, traditions, and everyday roles.
Join us on Friday, October 23, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM to celebrate the opening, meet the artists, and experience these stories in clay.

Digital Enlighten Series:
Digital Power Hour
This series was created to support and guide local entrepreneurs in the development of their businesses' digital presence. In part, SEEC hosts an online webinar series called "Digital Power Hour" where business owners are encouraged to ask questions, create discourse, and get relevant resources/answers surrounding online topics.
