SEEC Annual Meeting 2025: “Capture the Light” Shines a Spotlight on Rural Innovation
Schoharie County, NY — Schoharie Economic Enterprise Corporation (SEEC) hosted its 2025 Annual Meeting, Capture the Light, on Wednesday, May 28, at 287 Main in Schoharie and via Zoom. The event brought together community members, business leaders, and partners to explore how technology can drive economic growth and strengthen rural communities.
Keynote speaker Molly Pyle, Director of Tech-Based Economic Development at the Center on Rural Innovation (CORI), delivered an inspiring presentation on the future of rural economic development. She shared national strategies for using technology to build resilient local economies, attract talent, and create opportunity in places like Schoharie County.
Following the keynote, attendees enjoyed a lively panel discussion featuring professionals from Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, and The Alloy Network, all based out of SEEC’s coworking hub at 287 Main. The panel explored how rural regions can harness innovation and digital tools to foster sustainable growth and community prosperity.
Guests gathered over light refreshments provided by Middleburgh Coffee Company, Love Shine Tea, and Chatty Wren Coffee Roasters, celebrating SEEC’s progress and vision for the future.
The event also marked the release of the SEEC 2024 Annual Report: Future Ready Schoharie County, a compilation of public-private investments that are preparing the county for a more connected and resilient tomorrow.
