Schoharie County Joins National Celebration of Economic Development Week, May 12–16
SCHOHARIE COUNTY, NY (May 5, 2025) – The Schoharie Economic Enterprise Corporation (SEEC) invites the community to join in celebrating Economic Development Week, taking place May 12–16, 2025. Hosted annually by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), Economic Development Week recognizes the work of economic development professionals, the business landscape and their vital role in strengthening communities through innovation, collaboration, and strategic growth.
Throughout the week, organizations across Schoharie County will host a series of free, engaging events that highlight local partnerships, tourism, digital innovation, infrastructure development, and rural entrepreneurship.

Hear from Schoharie County Economic Development Coordinator John Crescimanno about the county’s transformative $30 million Municipal Infrastructure Program (MIP) broadband expansion grant to reach the last mile of unserved premises. When built, Schoharie County may be in the top 3% of counties nationwide that have 100% high speed internet access county-wide. This internet service is supported by a grant awarded to Schoharie County by New York State through the ConnectALL program. Check if your property is included in the upcoming build!
