Our Community in the Spotlight
SEEC is honored to be featured by WNYT for our partnership in the revitalization of the historic Parrott House, a landmark deeply woven into Schoharie’s story. Rachel Tiede, of WNYT, highlights the dedication of owners Alexandra Von Zehle and Anvi Ahmetaj as they restore the inn — a project SEEC has proudly supported from the start. Their work is already sparking renewed energy along Main Street, with neighboring businesses and longtime residents expressing excitement about the building’s comeback.
“Von Zehle and Ahmetaj bought the property in 2020. They said they love hearing the stories of wedding receptions, of neighbors grabbing a beer after Irene, and childhood memories from people in the Village, featuring the old Parrott House.”
